We were joined by Peter Thomas, a Canadian visitor, during the month of January. He brought by the Ken MacKenzie logging tug that he’s been working on. Mark Weber also was running the Shelly Foss that he’s been restoring.
A total of 17 participants from all over California and even British Columbia competed for honors over the Valentine’s Day weekend at the pond in San Diego’s Mission Bay. 4 of the 5 top finishers were from the San Francisco Bay Area. Argonaut’s Dennis Rogers and Dick Carver finished 6th and 7th respectively and Bill Bridge and Ken Campbell 15th and 16th respectively.
